Overview

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas exists to help children succeed in life. We do this by matching children ages 6 to 16 with caring adults who serve as mentors, advocates, resources, and guides. Volunteers commit to meeting with their Littles 3 to 4 times per month for a minimum of one year. Our professional staff are there every step of the way to solve problems and support each match’s success. BBBS serves approximately 800 children in Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties each year. Our proven model of one-to-one mentoring helps kids build the skills and capacities that lead to lifelong success.

Role

Special Event Photographer – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas

Responsibilities

  • Posed and candid photoshoots at events and matches
  • Coordinate and capture photos for monthly match events at our office or in the community
  • Document events such as happy hours, and the Ice Ball Annual Gala
  • Coordinate photos for social media, banners, printed materials, senior photos, and keepsakes
  • Assist with match and group photoshoots for various uses
  • Maintain awareness of confidentiality and obtain appropriate media releases
  • Support additional photography needs as requested

Qualifications

  • Study photography in school
  • Experience taking photos of individuals and large groups
  • Enjoy taking pictures at events
  • Enjoy attending and supporting nonprofit events
  • General editing abilities
  • Comfortable with confidentiality and media releases
