Technical Writer
Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical documents for dismantling and reassembling electrical products.
- Identify key elements necessary for electrical engineering configuration when disassembling electrical products.
- Aggregate and incorporate content from existing documents to produce comprehensive guides.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with technical requirements.
- Navigate uncertainties and adapt to frequent changes in project requirements.
Essential Skills
- Experience in technical writing, particularly in engineering contexts.
- Proficiency in document control and creating instructional manuals, configuration guides, or SOPs.
- Strong engineering background, ideally with experience in electrical products such as breakers, contactors, switchboards, and generators.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment and offers a hybrid work model, requiring 3-4 days onsite. You will work with a dynamic team to produce high-quality documentation in a fast-paced setting.
Job Type & Location
Contract position based in Columbia, South Carolina area.
Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $41.00 - $43.00/hr.
