Job Title: Technical Writer

Job Description: We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to create comprehensive technical documents focused on the processes for dismantling and reassembling products. In this role, you will identify essential elements for electrical engineering configuration and ensure that technical specifications are met. You will work closely with internal teams to integrate existing content and adapt to evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed technical documents for dismantling and reassembling electrical products.
  • Identify key elements necessary for EE configuration when disassembling EE products.
  • Aggregate and include content from existing documents to create comprehensive guides.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with technical requirements.
  • Navigate uncertainties and adapt to frequent changes in project requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in technical writing, particularly in engineering contexts.
  • Proficiency in document control and creating instructional manuals, configuration guides, or SOPs.
  • Strong engineering background, ideally with experience in electrical products such as breakers, contactors, switchboards, and generators.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing environment and offers a hybrid work model, requiring 3-4 days onsite. You will work with a dynamic team to produce high-quality documentation in a fast-paced setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of the Columbia, South Carolina area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $43.00/hr.
