Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online Technical Writing tutoring to students using Varsity Tutors’ Live Learning Platform.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Be matched with students whose needs align with your expertise and deliver personalized lessons.
• Use platform tools to enhance sessions, generate lessons, and save prep time.
• Invoice for sessions; the platform handles payments.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Technical Writing and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Preference given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

Compensation and Perks

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40/hour with recurring sessions with the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week.
• Set your own hours and tutor remotely; no commuting required; AI-powered features assist during sessions.
• We handle logistics—you just invoice for your tutoring sessions, and we take care of payments.
