About the Role
The Company is in search of an EVP, Legal, Technology and Commercial, Streaming, Marketing, and Distribution. This executive will be responsible for providing legal oversight and strategic guidance in a wide range of areas, including streaming operations, product launches, technology procurement, marketing, consumer experience, global advertising initiatives, and distribution partnerships. The role demands a seasoned attorney with a JD from an accredited law school, active bar membership, and over 15 years of legal experience, particularly in media, entertainment, technology, or global e-commerce sectors. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team, ensure compliance with international regulations, and have a proven track record in managing complex commercial transactions and high-value deals.
Key responsibilities for the EVP include legal support for regional launches and operations of streaming services, advising on localization issues, and supporting transactional work related to marketing, research, and international digital ad sales. The role also involves acting as legal counsel for content acquisitions and rights management, with a focus on multi-territory streaming operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial, technology, marketing, consumer protection, and distribution law, and experience with emerging technologies, including AI tools and digital advertising technology. Strong leadership, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional legal teams are essential.
