Media/Influencer Relations Develop strong relationships with business, broadcast and influencer media and direct staff to develop the same Creative use of social media channels to engage and support efforts Ongoing engagement of media for the agency (e.g. blog Q&A, lunch talks, etc.) Measure the ROI of communications activities Experience with social media influencer engagement, content campaigns, and media coverage amplification Client Service/Management Deliver exemplary client service for specified clients and develop strong client relationships Develop knowledge of clients’ business, competitors and relevant industry bodies Identify key messages and audiences and develop strategic communications plans Deliver projects and campaigns on time and on budget Understand the financials of each account and manage servicing levels Proactively communicate with clients on deliverables and budget Identify opportunities for organic growth and hit revenue targets Develop and maintain strong relationships with media Stay current with market trends, new technologies and client needs Own account management to ensure monthly client billing is accurate and accounts are current Lead the execution of programs including writing/editing, media relations, social media, digital communications and crisis work Be an ambassador for the agency Writing Proficiencies and campaign planning Ability to generate and edit submissions, press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, biographies, and related materials Professional, articulate client communication and strong pitches Agency Operations: manage direct reports, contribute to new business, networking, leadership by example Self Development: set quarterly goals, prioritize, drive projects forward Attend networking events and mentor junior staff Requirements
At least 7 years PR agency experience Strong academic record with emphasis on English and/or Business Core consumer brand PR background with knowledge of corporate PR and crisis management Experience running a reactive and proactive press office Experience measuring ROI of communications activities Experience with influencer engagement, content campaigns, and media amplification Excellent publicity skills and understanding of media and what makes a story Creativity and innovative thinking Extensive media contacts across national and regional outlets Track record delivering impactful PR campaigns from inception to delivery Strong relationship-building skills Strong organizational and time management skills Team player who works well under pressure Adaptable to flexible work environments Highwire Perks
