Transformation & Change Communications Senior Consultant
Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Transformation & Change Communications Consultant to support Global Risk Solutions (GRS) transformation efforts. The role focuses on executing transformation communications and change management activities across workstreams and business units, designing and delivering effective communications, strengthening the case for change, and keeping employees engaged and aligned. Formal change management training in a proven methodology such as Prosci is highly desirable.
Base pay range
$104,000.00/yr - $194,000.00/yr
Description Liberty Mutual’s Global Risk Solutions (GRS) business is evolving to meet the needs of a fast-changing risk landscape. We are investing in transformation that will shape how we serve clients, empower employees, and drive sustainable growth. This role requires deep experience in communications across large-scale, enterprise transformations (e.g., company-wide technology implementations, M&A integrations, operating model redesigns, or major cultural change programs).
This is a unique opportunity to influence high-visibility transformation programs, work directly with executives, and help shape the future of a global business.
What You’ll Do
Design and deliver communications and engagement plans that support transformation across GRS.
Create content (presentations, newsletters, FAQs, talking points) and prepare materials for leadership and employee forums.
Partner with workstreams and business units, providing tools, templates, and best practices for internal communications.
Build and maintain the case for change, ensuring messages evolve and resonate with employees at all levels.
Drive adoption and behavior change by orchestrating communications and change management activities across functions.
Measure effectiveness, gather feedback, and continuously refine strategies.
Navigate a highly matrixed organization and partner with external consultants.
Location Northeast location strongly preferred. This role is a hybrid opportunity preferably based in Boston, New York, or Washington, DC. The incumbent will be required to travel to Boston with some regularity if not Boston-based.
Qualifications What You’ll Bring
7+ years of progressive experience in communications, change management, and transformation roles with hands-on experience supporting large-scale, enterprise transformations (e.g., company-wide technology rollouts, M&A, global operating model changes, major process transformation or culture change).
Expertise in shaping clear, compelling narratives for large-scale change.
Strong writing, storytelling, and content development skills.
Ability to influence and build trusted relationships with executives and stakeholders.
Proven track record shaping and executing communication strategies for complex stakeholder groups across multiple geographies and functions.
Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree a plus.
