Base pay range: $160,592.27/yr - $240,888.38/yr

Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team of Software Development Engineers in the planning and design of software and web applications. Manages projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements and modifications. Collaborates with Quality Assurance to conduct testing. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Oversees one or more groups of professional employees.

The Technology + Product organization works at the intersection of media and technology, delivering products and next-generation technologies that transform the customer experience. The Video On Demand product covers encoding, quality control, packaging, and publishing of VOD and related ads. The SpEx (Sports Experiences) team uses AI and machine learning to autogenerate clips and highlights as part of our Global Sports vision. Our scope includes Sky (UK, Italy, Germany), VideoTron, Cox, Shaw, Rogers, Peacock, and Comcast, focusing on stability, quality, and reliability.

Responsibilities
- Oversees the planning and design of software and web applications, including new programs, enhancements and modifications.
- Guides Software Engineering and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements. Serves as primary point of contact between Software Engineering and other teams.
- Directs implementation initiatives for new software products and applications. Organizes software update processes and coordinates software release rollouts.
- Manages deliverables to ensure deadlines, specifications and budgets are met. Implements performance metrics and prepares reports. Monitors and reports project progress to leadership.
- Ensures engineers stay current with technological developments; evaluates competitive applications and products.
- Provides leadership and direction to department personnel from lower-level managers to non-exempt employees.
- Manages cross-project communications and exercises independent judgment on matters of significance.
- Regular, punctual attendance; ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
