What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Oversee $1.5-$2M in account revenue as the most senior strategic client counsel
  • Generate business revenue within existing clients by offering strategic recommendations
  • Manage, mentor, and develop staff while promoting a culture of high performance
  • Represent the employer and key clients at high-level industry events and conferences
  • Monitor staff performance and development goals, set objectives, and conduct annual performance reviews

What is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity
  • Proven ability to build relationships with top-tier reporters and editors for high-impact placements
  • Extensive writing and editing experience with print and online communications media
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic communications and media relations program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with social media influencer engagement and content campaigns
  • Innovative thinker with a track record of translating strategic thinking into action plans
  • Experience setting up measurement programs and measuring the ROI of communications activities
