Overview

FYP seeks an experienced, part-time Multimedia Associate to oversee web development, social media content creation and data analysis, and intern mentorship. This position will provide hands-on experience managing project social media and web pages, creating and editing multimedia content, and contributing to digital strategy.

FYP works to interrupt the cycles of poverty and criminalization that prevent LGBTQ+ youth from living fulfilling, enriching lives. We provide direct legal services and advocate for LGBTQ+ young people (up to age 24) living in poverty on a wide range of issues, including safe and affirming access to shelter, benefits, accurate identification documents, employment, and legal immigration status. FYP is housed within the Urban Justice Center, a dynamic non-profit law collective.

The Multimedia Associate is expected to work 10-15 hours per week in a hybrid model.

Responsibilities

• Oversee web development, social media content creation and data analysis, and intern mentorship.
• Manage project social media and web pages, creating and editing multimedia content.
• Contribute to digital strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field of multimedia, marketing, communications, or equivalent degree/experience.
• Expert knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Wix, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented and organized; strong time management and self-initiative; comfortable working collaboratively or independently.
• Experience managing social media platforms and with design and short-form editing (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud).
• Experience utilizing social media analytics.
• Has a team spirit, strong work ethic, and a sense of humor.
• Conversational fluency in Spanish or French is preferred but not required.
