Overview
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional orchestral strings instructor to teach part-time at Riverdale Music Academy, in Riverdale, New Jersey. This is an in-person teaching position.
Schedule and responsibilities
- Available for a minimum of two 4-hour teaching blocks on a weekly basis.
- Teaching blocks are Monday through Friday from 3:15pm to 7:45pm.
- Standard lesson runtime is 45 minutes; early childhood lessons (ages 4-9) are 30 minutes.
- Provide consistent instruction; preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.
Qualifications
- Degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
- Strong punctuality, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a routine background check.
Compensation and benefits
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $30-37/hour. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
