Responsibilities

• Oversee $1.5-$2M in account revenue as the most senior strategic client counsel
• Develop coherent strategies for clients and projects, driving new business development
• Manage, mentor, and develop account teams while ensuring high-quality client service
• Generate business revenue by expanding the scope of work with existing clients
• Represent the employer and key clients at industry events to build networking opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven ability to build relationships with top-tier reporters and editors
• Extensive writing and editing experience with various print and online media
• Experience in managing comprehensive strategic communications and media relations programs

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in managing and mentoring a team of communications specialists
• Innovative thinking with a track record of translating strategic ideas into actionable plans
• Experience with social media influencer engagement and content campaigns
• Strong judgment and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to set up measurement programs for communications activities
