Overview Job Title: In-House SEO & Web Optimization Specialist Location: Bohemia, NY (On-site, Full-Time) Company: Gorilla Brands (In-House Agency) Pay: $60,000 - 85,000, depending on experience Type: Full-Time About Us This position is for Gorilla Brands, our in-house marketing agency that handles all branding, SEO, and advertising across the Rapid Home Services Group portfolio of companies—and for a growing roster of external clients as well. Gorilla Brands specializes in performance marketing for contractors and home service brands, helping them dominate local markets with trackable, ROI-focused campaigns. We are a performance-driven marketing agency focused on turning contractors and home service businesses into local leaders through branding, local SEO, and paid ads. We are looking to bring our SEO firepower in-house with a true professional who can own our search presence and drive serious results. Who We're Looking For An experienced, technical SEO expert who can do it all — from on-page and off-page optimization to technical audits and hands-on website edits. You’ll work directly from our Bohemia office alongside our creative, media, and marketing teams. We don’t want someone who needs to hand off changes to a dev team — we want someone who makes the changes themselves. You’ll manage multiple client websites (mostly contractors/home service brands) and will be responsible for site health, keyword growth, local rankings, traffic quality, and conversions. Key Responsibilities Audit and optimize websites for technical SEO (site speed, mobile, crawlability, schema, etc.) Perform and implement on-page SEO: title tags, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, keyword placement, image optimization Manage and improve local SEO: Google Business Profiles, citations, maps optimization, and local signals Conduct competitor analysis and keyword research to identify growth opportunities Work with our content team to guide SEO-driven blog topics, landing pages, and site architecture Implement and manage tracking tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and call tracking tools Build and manage backlinks through ethical, high-quality strategies Monitor and report on rankings, traffic, conversions, and site issues Work with dev/design when needed, but able to execute changes directly in WordPress or similar platforms Requirements 3+ years of professional SEO experience Proven ability to rank websites locally and organically Strong knowledge of technical SEO (core web vitals, schema, sitemaps, redirects, etc.) Solid understanding of WordPress and ability to make site changes directly Experience with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO, and Google's tool stack Familiarity with call tracking, UTM tagging, and funnel tracking Excellent communication skills — able to report progress and insights clearly Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and focused on results Bonus Points For Experience with home service/construction/contractor websites Basic HTML/CSS or web design experience Ability to optimize pages for paid traffic and conversion as well Understanding of CRM integration and analytics dashboards Benefits What You Get Competitive salary based on experience Full-time, in-office role in our Bohemia location Room to grow and lead the SEO department in-house A fast-paced, results-driven environment that actually appreciates great work Opportunity to work on real campaigns that generate real revenue and visibility Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Other Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Rapid Home Service Group by 2x.
