(USA) Area Manager - Maintenance (Fashion, Import, Print Solutions, Regional, Returns, Sam's, Wm.Com) – Walmart

This role supports Walmart and its subsidiaries with maintenance operations for a defined area, focusing on warehouse equipment, safety, and process improvements in alignment with company policies and standards.

What you'll do

• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing to implement the business plan for the area of responsibility.
• Manage staffing and scheduling, assign duties, and coordinate workloads to achieve facility goals (production, quality, safety).
• Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
• Maintain quality and safety standards by training associates on logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and maintaining procedures and documentation.
• Identify concerns from associates, customers, and/or suppliers; consult with others to determine corrective actions or recommendations.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and supporting training and development needs; participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, and evaluation.
• Manage maintenance department daily operations, including equipment maintenance (material handling equipment, pneumatic and electrical systems, air compressors, refrigeration equipment, general building repairs) and regulatory compliance (OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, DOT, etc.).
• Manage financial aspects within area by monitoring expenses, capital expenditures, asset utilization, and related reports.
• Foster an inclusive culture, attract and retain talent, and uphold Walmart values and integrity in actions.

Base pay and benefits

Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Additional compensation

Annual or quarterly performance bonuses may apply. Regional pay zone (RPZ) based on location. Stock options may be available.

Minimum qualifications

• Associate's Degree or technical certification in an industrial field and 1 year of supervisory maintenance experience OR
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial, or related field OR
• 2 years Walmart Logistics maintenance experience including six months leading a work or project team OR
• 2 years supervisory experience in an industrial environment with 1 year in maintenance, including hiring and promotion activities.

Associates must complete required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door, etc.).

Preferred qualifications

• Compliance, General Maintenance, Microsoft Office
• Refrigeration Equipment – Supermarkets, Supervising Associates, Warehouse Management Systems
• Bachelors in Business or Logistics
