Live Event Video Specialist position—full-time, 1.0 FTE, Exempt. Location: Fargo, North Dakota. Requires travel; company vehicle provided. Opening: Immediate.

This role involves producing creative and engaging world-class events throughout the Upper Midwest, with responsibilities across video-related services for live event production, real-time video production, and post-event capture for editing and distribution.

Duties include

  • Be a contributing member of the team with a positive, can-do attitude; encourage teammates to be successful.
  • Collaborate with Clients, Project Managers, and Technical Directors to understand vision, needs, and potential issues related to venue, show flow, or logistics.
  • Bring new ideas and technologies to client conversations to differentiate Livewire.
  • Develop professional but sincere rapport with clients; attend client meetings as appropriate.
  • Determine design and placement of video components for events/shows based on script, location, and talent needs.
  • Source and locate additional equipment for rental or purchase as needed with vendor partners.
  • Work with Operations Team to communicate budgetary, logistics, and sourcing needs.
  • Direct crew to rig/place video equipment on-site; collaborate with other departments on-site as needed.
  • Write cue sheets and cross-reference cues to the script/show flow; program equipment cues as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned (keep workspace organized).

General Requirements

  • Proven experience setting up modern and classic video equipment for live events.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to think critically on the job site.
  • Ability to use video components to create engaging environments across platforms (projection, recording, streaming, etc.).
  • Experience with rigging/trussing and event power standards.
  • Knowledge of classic and modern video equipment, analog and digital, and best practices for projection on events.
  • Strong computer and Internet skills; able to multitask and manage several projects.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Current driver’s license or reliable access to/from the office.
  • Ability to see projects through from concept to completion; able to climb ladders and operate lifts; ability to lift equipment.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Desired Software/Hardware Knowledge

  • NewTek TriCaster Platform (Advanced Edition preferred)
  • NDI and SDI routing protocols
  • Livestream, Vimeo, and other streaming platforms
  • Office 365 Suite
  • Google Workspace
  • Windows 10/11 Pro/Home; Mac OS
  • Appropriate network protocols for office and event use
  • LED video wall principles; heavy rigging and power standards
  • Experience with various HD/4K+ cameras and related audio equipment

Helpful, but not required

  • College or university degree
  • Experience driving large vehicles such as cargo vans and 26’ box trucks
  • ARTS time program (80 hours) to support non-profit/educational arts initiatives
  • 15 days paid time off
