Responsibilities
- Use a highly consultative approach to set up sales meetings and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects.
- Organize and execute a multi-faceted sales plan to effectively make direct contact with prospects.
- Participate in professional organizations and informal networks to develop and build a strong pipeline of client prospects.
- Work directly with the Commercial Lines team members to ensure proper and timely processing of all paperwork and meet client/prospect expectations.
- Collaborate with Employee Health & Benefits, Private Client and Retirement Services sales teams to generate new clients.
- Stay current on insurance industry matters and niche client markets and attend educational courses to maintain license and designations.
Qualifications
We would love to meet you if your professional experience includes:
- 3+ years of relevant sales experience and/or insurance industry experience.
- Successful business-to-business sales experience including experience selling to executive/senior level (professional services experience or insurance sales preferred).
- Strong oral and written communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage in client-focused critical thinking.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills.
- Self-starter with resourcefulness; ability to work with minimal direction and in a team environment.
- Ability to learn, understand and champion sales processes/campaigns and value proposition.
- P&C licensure or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Frequent travel to various locations is required (up to 50%). Must have valid transportation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration or related fields.
- Insurance designations.
- Experience with Salesforce.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $65,900 to $122,700. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.
