Full-Time Location Authorization Specialist
for our
Home Health & Hospice Central Intake
covering
ALL SC. This person will be responsible for payer verification and requesting authorizations for services from Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies in a timely and accurate manner. Verifies insurance for all patient payers. Contacts insurance companies and obtains authorization for home health services in a timely and accurate manner for payers requiring authorization. Runs the authorization expiration report on a daily basis. Assist the billing department with researching denials. Qualifications and Skills: High School Diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of customer service/medical billing/collections experience required. Home health experience preferred. Thorough and working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial billing regulations and requirements. Experience with the technical aspects of electronic medical billing.
