Job Summary/Basic Function
The graphic designer will implement the Career Center marketing design through traditional print and digital design. This includes, but is not limited to, creating posters, flyers, banners, web and email graphics, newsletters, postcards, packets, brochures, handouts, and promotional items. He/she will be in charge of placing print orders for design work. The designer will have the opportunity to create original design content, but will often be implementing and applying the new Career Center marketing design to new pieces.
Specific Responsibilities
Work Schedule
Work Schedule will be determined by student worker availability and department need. Scheled hours occur during ISU business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Preferred Relevant Education and Experience
Education: High School diploma or GED; Experience: Preferred knowledge and experience of Adobe Suites, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop.

The designer must be proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop and be familiar or proficient with a Mac. The following qualities are essential: close attention to detail, organization, dedication, ability to receive constructive criticism, ability to motivate self toward deadlines, works well under tight deadlines and pressure, works well with others (including staff, administration, vendors, and other designers), ability to adapt to the client's needs and interests, and takes initiative to create and complete projects.

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer will design print and digital assets for various marketing mediums. This includes, but is not limited to, creating flyers, yard signs, web and social graphics, handouts, and promotional items.
This role also supports broader marketing initiatives. The designer will assist with distributing promotional materials across campus and help manage the Career Center's social media channels to ensure cohesive messaging and visual alignment across all platforms. This integrated approach ensures that design work directly contributes to the success of marketing campaigns and student engagement efforts.
The majority of the designs will be Indiana State University brand aligned. There will be creativity and storytelling opportunities through design variations to increase student engagement in event attendance and overall use of services.
