Communications Lead / Adoption Coordinator
Brief Description:
Sierra7, Inc. is seeking a Communications Lead / Adoption Coordinator who will support the Enterprise Architecture Modernization program by shaping and delivering strategic communications that promote enterprise architecture (EA) awareness, stakeholder alignment, and adoption. This role translates complex technical information into clear, engaging materials for diverse audiences—ranging from system users to senior decision-makers—and ensures consistent, high-quality messaging across governance, delivery, and modernization workstreams. The Communications Lead also plays a key role in supporting stakeholder engagement through narrative-driven updates, executive briefings, and adoption-focused communications.
This is a TEMPORARY (6 months) full-time position in the Washington, DC area and onsite work will be necessary.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and manage strategic messaging that highlights system maturity, EA alignment, and modernization progress
Translate technical information from architects, analysts, and SMEs into audience-appropriate communications
Create and maintain briefing decks, communication artifacts, dashboards, and EA-aligned updates
Coordinate messaging cadence and engagement rhythm across technical and governance teams
Align communications with capability deployment milestones and stakeholder readiness activities
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality control across all communication outputs
Support stakeholder coordination and messaging planning in both virtual and in-person settings
Participate in periodic on-site meetings to facilitate executive briefings and strengthen stakeholder engagement
Maintain version control, messaging standards, and visual branding across deliverables
Requirements Skills:
Strong strategic communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to varied audiences
Proven experience creating executive-ready briefings, progress updates, and communication plans tied to program objectives
Ability to synthesize input from diverse technical sources into cohesive messaging frameworks
Skilled in managing stakeholder engagement rhythms, messaging cadence, and adoption-oriented communications
High attention to detail with strong organizational and quality assurance practices
Comfortable working in hybrid environments that involve remote collaboration and in-person coordination
Familiarity with enterprise architecture and federal IT modernization programs, especially within defense or civilian agency contexts
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public affairs, business, or a related field (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, or reporting in a modernization or IT transformation context
Prior experience supporting enterprise architecture governance or dashboard/visualization teams preferred
Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust or relevant clearance

The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is: $110,000 - $145,000 USD
