We are looking for a Social Media & Community Strategist to help take Plants vs. Zombies and other beloved IPs to the next level of cultural relevance and fan engagement. Role Summary

Are you a strategic, culturally plugged-in social media leader who thrives at the intersection of community, creative, and brand? Lead the end-to-end social strategy and implementation for the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. This role sits on the franchise brand team and is responsible for scaling and energizing the PvZ global community, driving platform-specific growth, cross-functional collaboration, and bold, performance-driven content strategies. You will champion the franchise voice across platforms and work with community managers, social creatives, and external agencies to ensure PvZ appears with wit, relevance, and impact. You will act as the franchise social architect and performance guardian, with a deep understanding of content trends, platform shifts, community culture, and gaming fandom. Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the PvZ franchise social and community strategy, aligned with brand and business goals. Create and lead platform-specific strategies across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X/Twitter, Discord, Reddit, and emerging platforms. Build, monitor, and evolve a growth roadmap, track KPIs, and deliver regular reports to senior leadership. Present strategies and performance results to executives and stakeholders, driving alignment and buy-in. Manage relationships with social media agencies, vendors, influencers, and platform partners. Collaborate with UA, comms, brand, and game teams to align campaigns and messaging. Community Building & Growth

Spearhead scaling of the PvZ community across core platforms, rooted in fandom and cultural relevance. Oversee the community and social team, including social manager, community manager, and content creator. Design and implement programs to grow, reward, and activate the fan base with a global lens. Stay ahead of social, platform, and audience trends to keep PvZ culturally relevant. Content Development & Performance

Lead the always-on content strategy and calendar, including franchise storytelling, product moments, and reactive content. Collaborate with internal creative teams and external agencies to concept, brief, and produce best-in-class social content. Ensure social creative is performance-oriented, data-informed, and on-brand. Build and champion PvZs unique social tone of voice and creative lens. Experience & Skills

Must-Haves 5+ years of social media strategy and community building experience, ideally in gaming or entertainment. Proven track record in building and scaling communities across social platforms. Strong leadership and management skills: experience leading cross-functional teams and agencies. Deep fluency with TikTok trends, creator ecosystems, and platform evolution. Ability to analyze performance data, optimize based on insight, and report clearly to business stakeholders. Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to executives. A gamer at heart you understand the culture, the memes, and the audience. Competency with social media tools (e.g., Emplifi, Sprout, Brandwatch, Discord bots). Nice-to-Haves Franchise or IP marketing experience. Experience in reactive and real-time marketing, especially within fandom spaces. KPIs Youll Own

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors. Pay ranges vary by location. California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) $124,100 - $182,800 USD In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), sick time, company holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) for temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.
