RESPONSIBILITIES
Community: The "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Dallas (IHDF) empowers students from underserved communities, providing mentorship, enrichment, and a scholarship for higher education. We work closely with our Dream Scholars to help them succeed academically, develop life skills, and engage with their communities.
IHDF Dallas is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Marketing Intern to support our outreach and engagement efforts in the DFW market. This role will play a key part in promoting IHDF programs, building awareness of our mission, and increasing participation in signature campaigns like North Texas Giving Day and Giving Tuesday.
- Develop a monthly social media calendar and schedule posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X).
- Create compelling graphics, flyers, and digital content to promote programs, events, and fundraising campaigns.
- Support campaigns such as North Texas Giving Day and Giving Tuesday with content creation, promotion, and reporting.
- Assist with photography, video clips, and other multimedia content for social media and marketing materials.
- Monitor social media engagement, report analytics, and make recommendations to improve outreach.
- Collaborate with the IHDF team to brainstorm content ideas and share stories of Dream Scholars and program impact.

- Must be an enrolled student at DeVry or Keller.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a current student in good standing and possess a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester.
- FWS fund eligible.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed, motivated individuals.
- People who sit around, waiting to be told what to do will not do well in this environment.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with social media platforms, scheduling tools
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Creative, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for youth development and nonprofit work is a plus.
- Part-time internship (10-20 hours/week) with flexible scheduling.
- Minimum 6-month commitment preferred, with the possibility of extension.
- Hands-on experience managing social media for a growing nonprofit in the DFW area.
