Job Title: Technical Writer (Onsite)

Location: Naperville, IL

Hours: 7am - 3pm



Responsibilities include:

• Developing clear and concise operational instructions for process manuals and other documents.


• Collaborating with core team members, including operators union members, safety team, engineers, and product managers to understand product specifications and requirements.


• Translating complex technical concepts into clear and accurate instructions.


• Conducting interviews and observing work performed by various users (Operators Union employees) to gather data for documentation, such as start-up, shutdown, and changeovers.


• Gathering photographs and other useful media to enhance and provide visual clarification of documents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in training or equivalent combination of education and experience, or technical writer.


• Minimum 2 years experience as a technical writer or service writer, preferably in the food industry or related fields.


• Solid technical writing skills, including the ability to research and document functionality, protocols, and processes.


• Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills along with strong verbal communication skills.


• Ability to manage multiple projects.


• Exceptional ability in creating technical documentation for non-technical persons.
