Position Summary:
It is the primary responsibility of the Scenic Projects Artist to produce props, sets, vignettes, signs and room decor using foam, wood, paint, vinyl, fabric and other materials.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Use design direction and specifications to fabricate décor treatments for room, ceiling, entry, stage and walls Use appropriate techniques and tools to paint, cut, sew, glue and assemble props to produce well developed, safe, quality decor
  2. Properly pack for transport, unpack and check goods against orders and handle inventory to protect against damage
  3. Ensure that tools are maintained and MREP studio is left in a clean and orderly condition
  4. Stay current in design trends, production techniques and vendor products and share/train with teams to inspire creativity
  5. Lead crews in-studio or on installation and tear downs on selected events
  6. Participate in event installation/tear down and loading/unloading of vehicles as needed
  7. Accurately read and complete all required paperwork Create a SHOW Service work environment promoting creativity, collaboration, teamwork, recognition, mutual respect
  8. Actively promote MREP within the company and the events industry
  9. Performs other job-related duties as requested and Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Required Work Experience:
  1. 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience In set and prop construction, theatre, fabric and/or events.
  2. Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
  3. Complete design test onsite in conjunction with interview process
Preferred Experience:
  1. Two(2) or Four(4) year degree in design, art, theatre or related industry Preferred
  2. One(1) year of supervisory, lead or equivalent work experience
  3. Experience with CNC operation
  4. Basic electrical experience-soldering, LED installation
