Senior Media Buyer, Paid Social — Gen Digital

GOBankingRates is a dynamic multimedia content platform focused on empowering people to lead richer lives. We deliver editorial content covering the six key principles of financial literacy and provide insights to help readers make smart financial decisions. Gen Digital unites trusted brands to protect and empower users online. This role is part of Gen Digital and GOBankingRates within the Paid Media team.

We work in a hybrid environment with locations in New York City, Tempe, AZ, Mountain View, CA or Plano, TX. Candidates must be able to commute to one of these hybrid office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute scalable paid social media strategies to maximize performance, reach, and customer acquisition on self-service platforms (Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc.) to meet quarterly revenue and gross profit goals.
  • Manage monthly Paid Media budgets to achieve revenue and Gross Profit Margin targets.
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for bidding, ad copy, campaign structure, targeting, creative, and inventory management.
  • Lead high-velocity creative testing with design to evolve campaigns with social trends and behavior.
  • Navigate promotion of offers with compliance and targeting requirements to generate results within constraints.
  • Oversee end-to-end management of paid social campaigns, including budget allocation, bidding, performance analysis, and optimization to meet KPIs.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest trends and features on major social platforms.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with algorithmic platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Communicate reporting, results, strategic initiatives, and growth opportunities to the team.
  • Use data to guide decisions and actions to scale revenue and GPM for the channel.
  • Collaborate with product, design, content, and analytics teams to optimize channel performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a high-level operator within top Social Media Platforms, managing monthly ad spend over $100k; financial category preferred.
  • Strong understanding of direct marketing creative best practices and experience optimizing for campaign performance (creative, ad copy, landing page).
  • Subject matter expertise in paid social algorithms and using technical solutions to drive results.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, attribution, ads implementation, and platform integration.
  • Experience developing strategy, finding solutions, and communicating results.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, Google Ads, and Bing Ads.
