Overview
Audio Visual Equipment Installer
Location: Richmond, VA, US 23230. Workplace Type: Remote. This is a remote based customer facing position supporting a designated territory (Virginia).
Responsibilities
- Help install operating room integration systems, including physical placement of equipment, installation, termination and interconnection of all cables, downloading and configuration of software; testing of all functions per test documentation. This position typically works under the direction of an Integration Specialist or Integration Project Manager.
- Support project installations under the supervision of Integration Specialists with oversight of the Integration Project Manager. Perform installation, testing and demonstration of integration systems.
- Provide verbal and written progress reports to the installation leader/project manager.
- Perform administrative duties in a timely manner (checklists, Siebel entry, expense reporting, time entry, and other required tasks).
- Maintain courteous and professional demeanor with customers, contractors, management and fellow employees; follow customer protocols and all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of recent installation experience in cable/audio visual/electronics, or an Associate's degree in Electronics or related field plus 1+ year of related experience.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills; excellent knowledge of PCs, video technology, video cabling, networking.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer communication skills (verbal and written); proficiency in Windows software.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with flexibility; willingness to travel extensively and work outside normal business hours; valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Preferred: Project management experience; Biomed/Hospital IT experience.
What You’ll Do As An Integration Technician
- Travel to various states and hospital systems; work on diverse projects; extensive travel typically planned 1-3 weeks in advance; may involve day trips, overnight trips, or up to a week away from home.
- Overtime is common but not guaranteed; hours vary based on customer needs.

Pay range: $54,187.50–$70,125.00; this position is incentive plan eligible. Minimum pay rates comply with applicable county/city minimums; pay is based on location, experience, education and other factors.
