Position Summary
As an Integration Technician, you will install and configure operating room integration systems. You will interpret project documents (Proposals, Port Maps, Wiring Diagrams, Infrastructure Drawings, etc.), install equipment, terminate cables, test systems to ensure proper energization, and verify final configuration with hospital networks. This role involves significant travel and overnight stays.
What does travel look like?
You will travel to installation sites across the country by company vehicle or air travel. Travel is typically booked 1–3 weeks in advance. The role may include day trips, overnight trips, or up to week-long assignments. Overtime is common but not guaranteed. Hours vary based on customer needs.
What You’ll Do As An Integration Technician
- Install operating room integration systems, including equipment placement, cabling, software download/configuration, and testing per test documentation. Work under the direction of an Integration Specialist or Integration Project Manager.
- Support project installations with oversight from Integration Specialists and the Integration Project Manager. Perform installation, testing, and demonstration of integration systems with limited direct supervision.
- Provide verbal and written progress reports to the installation lead or project manager.
- Perform administrative duties in a timely manner (checklists, Siebel entry, expense reporting, time entry, etc.).
- Maintain courteous and professional demeanor with customers, contractors, management, and colleagues. Follow customer protocols and all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols.
Experience, Skills and Abilities
- High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of recent installation experience in cable/audio visual/electronics, or an Associate’s degree in electronics or related field plus 1+ year of related experience.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent knowledge of PCs, video technology, video cabling, networking.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency with computers and Windows software.
- Flexibility to handle multiple priorities and work flexible hours with extensive travel.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
- Project management experience.
- Biomed/Hospital IT experience.

Location note: This is a remote-based customer-facing position; candidates must reside in Virginia.
Compensation: Pay range $54,187.50–$70,125.00; position incentive plan eligible. Minimum pay rates comply with applicable local minimums. Pay is based on factors including experience, education, certifications, and other considerations.
