Job Summary

The Video Editor role is responsible for editing video projects in a wide range of formats including (but not limited to): multi-camera interviews, narrative and performance music videos, and long format documentary pieces. Candidates should balance technical proficiency with artistic vision and taste. They should be well organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Editorial experience and a drive to continue honing the craft are required.

This is a full-time role with a hybrid work arrangement.

Job Specific Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Edit a wide variety of projects as assigned by the Lead Video Editor.
• Work collaboratively and incorporate feedback from clients and contributors.
• Starting with a treatment and footage, source and combine music, SFX, and other elements to realize a concept.
• Complete work within given deadlines.

Job Specific Qualifications

Education Requirements

• High School or equivalent
• College preferred

Skill Requirements

• 3+ years of video editing experience
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar NLE (Avid/FCP/Resolve)
• Proficiency with After Effects is a plus
• Familiarity with graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is a plus
• Proficient in data management and review/approval workflows (Frame.io/Dropbox Replay)
• Creative problem solving
• Strong relational skills and experience working in a team environment

Scheduling/Travel Requirements

• Typically 9a-5p M-F with occasional shoots or all-hands on deck weekends (e.g., Easter, Super Bowl, Christmas, etc.).
