Assistant Graphics Manager

Sir Speedy Printing in Winston-Salem, North Carolina has been in business since 1974. We specialize in a broad range of printing services for some of the largest companies in North Carolina, providing print solutions for digital, offset, promotional, wide format and signage projects. The Assistant Graphics Manager position requires a blend of creative and technical skills that are critical for a fast-paced, deadline-driven graphics/prepress/printing environment.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Minimum 2-year degree in graphic design
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the printing industry
• Knowledge of design, color theory and typography
• Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Experience working on both Mac and PC platforms
• Efficient, organized and detail-oriented work regimen
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines under pressure
• Strong listening and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare client files for various output devices
• Meet design specifications requested by clients for a wide variety of projects
• Perform data-merge operations for mailings
• Archive produced images, graphics and client files in an asset management system
• Keep up with software/technology advances that will contribute to improved procedures and workflows
• Work as a team player with members of our Customer Service, Production and Bindery Departments
• Serve as a backup to the Graphics Manager

Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 Noon
