Overview
The MUSC Libraries seeks a forward-thinking, collaborative, and data-driven individual for the Assessment Librarian position.
Reporting to the Director of Library User Experience & Engagement, the Assessment Librarian will lead the development and implementation of a robust library assessment program. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing user-centered, evidence-based decision-making by designing, coordinating, and analyzing assessments related to library spaces, services, programs, and resources. This position will work closely with library leadership and campus partners to evaluate the effectiveness of services, demonstrate impact, and support continuous improvement aligned with MUSC’s strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a robust library assessment program.
- Design, coordinate, and analyze assessments related to library spaces, services, programs, and resources.
- Collaborate with library leadership and campus partners to evaluate the effectiveness of services, demonstrate impact, and support continuous improvement aligned with MUSC’s strategic priorities.
Salary, Rank, and Work Environment
Salary Range: $60,000 to $90,000, commensurate with education and experience.
Faculty Rank & Work Environment: The faculty rank is open. MUSC faculty members work hybrid schedules as appropriate for their roles.
Location
Location Requirement: Successful candidates must relocate to Charleston, SC. Relocation assistance is provided.
