The Head of Lifecycle Marketing leads the Lifecycle Marketing team and collaborates cross-functionally with product marketing, brand, product, and engineering. This role reports to the Director of Growth Marketing. About The Role
As the Head of Lifecycle Marketing, you will grow activation, engagement, retention, and subscriptions via Braze-run channels. You will lead triggered and seasonal programs to drive incremental sessions and monthly active users. You will shape campaigns with personalized data, timely targeting, and engaging copy and creative. You will evaluate opportunities and prioritize tickets using data to shape structures and strategies. You will establish baselines and best practices across email, push, SMS, and onsite channels. You will collaborate with product, data science, and engineering to unlock new opportunities and experiences. You will help create playbooks to scale winning initiatives. You will communicate learnings and proposals in well-synthesized decks and documents, and mentor your team to grow technical and strategic expertise in lifecycle marketing. This is an onsite position in San Francisco.
We require that employees be in the office a minimum of three days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and as needed by your manager or the company. In This Role, You Will Develop and implement comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategies aligned with growth objectives to enhance customer engagement Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize the customer journey from sign-up through activation, adoption, retention, and subscription Drive campaign analysis with analytics collaboration to optimize results Use data analytics to gain insights into customer behavior and tailor marketing efforts Manage all lifecycle marketing channels (email, SMS, push, in-app) to ensure cohesive, personalized communication Collaborate with product marketing, brand, product, and engineering to align with business goals Stay ahead of industry trends and test-and-learn approaches to evaluate new channels Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team What You Bring To The Table 10+ years in lifecycle or digital marketing, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role Deep understanding of marketing automation tools and CRM systems Proven ability to design and execute lifecycle marketing strategies with attention to design, messaging, and execution Strong analytical skills, data analysis, and customer segmentation Experience with A/B testing and measurement of campaign/channel effectiveness Creative, customer-centric thinking with excellent copywriting skills Experience building complex lifecycle campaign canvases and coaching iterations Excellent leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills Attention to detail with strong feedback delivery Strong cross-functional influence and organizational prioritization Bonus Points If You Have Experience with Braze Familiarity with Liquid logic Experience in ed tech or with Gen Z Experience in freemium subscription models Experience driving onsite marketing campaigns and new onsite channels Experience lifecycle marketing for a global company with localization Figma-friendly for quick mockups Compensation, Benefits & Perks Quizlet is an equal opportunity employer.
