Time Out Market is a global food and cultural market leveraging the editorial curation of Time Out to bring the best of the city together under one roof: its best chefs, restaurants, bars, and cultural experiences. We are seeking a Marketing Manager to enhance our brand presence, drive footfall, revenue and brand awareness, and ensure a seamless, exciting experience for our customers and partners. This role will lead marketing initiatives across all platforms, manage campaigns, public relations efforts, social media, coordinate events and activations, and maintain strong relationships with concessionaires. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and culture and have a proven track record in the following responsibilities. Responsibilities: Develop – with support from the HQ team – and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives to drive visitor traffic and brand loyalty. Draft, implement and execute the local marketing plan and strategy. Manage all aspects of public relations, including coordination of press releases and relations with media, influencers, and other industry leaders; act as the main contact with the local PR agency and manage day-to-day tasks. Manage Boston TOM social media across channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others); create and publish engaging content; work in house, with a third-party agency, or with Time Out Media team as budget allows. Plan and coordinate weekly, monthly and seasonal entertainment and events to enhance the visitor experience and promote brand awareness and topline revenue; collaborate with artists, performers, and Time Out Media teams on ideation. Foster strong relationships with all chefs and concessionaires to align with Market standards and goals; support their promotional activities. Oversee third-party review platforms (e.g., Google My Business, TripAdvisor, Yelp). Manage Time Out Market website content, ensuring accuracy and freshness. Ensure marketing materials align with brand guidelines; assist in creation and editing of promotional materials. Collaborate with the General Manager on activations and promotions to drive topline sales; oversee from ideation to asset implementation. Create and manage newsletter content with the CRM team; minimum of one newsletter per month. Develop on-brand content for digital screens and manage weekly updates; work with Time Out design and media teams. Collaborate with Time Out Media team on Market content, brand collaborations and networking opportunities. Monitor and report on campaign and event effectiveness using predefined KPIs. Identify potential partnerships and maintain strong relationships with current and potential partners—especially chefs and concessionaires—to keep the pipeline fresh. Use data, trends and customer feedback to inform future campaigns and improve the visitor experience. Support incident/crisis responses with the brand in mind. Work with Time Out Market HQ on CRM flows, customer promotions and communications. Attend onsite for key events, activations and client meetings; collaborate with the Events Team on marketing materials as needed. Ensure customer-facing booking platforms and guest communications reflect Time Out Market branding. Coordinate, book and oversee photo and video shoots for the Market (pre-opening and post-opening). Responsible for the monthly marketing report for the Market. Budget control: monitor and track marketing spend in line with the budget; manage the marketing budget to deliver strong ROI. Define clear, measurable KPIs for the Market and review them regularly to ensure marketing effectiveness. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, or related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in marketing management, preferably in hospitality, retail, or entertainment. Experience in managing marketing campaigns, PR initiatives, and brand activations across diverse geographies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage social media platforms and craft engaging content. Experience in event planning and management. Ability to work effectively across different geographies, cultures, and teams. Strong networking capabilities with media, PR agencies, and market stakeholders. About our culture
