What You’ll Do

As a Service Technician you will lead the deployment of Audio-Visual solutions to local and regional corporate accounts. You should also be able to:

  • Understand audio visual, display and videoconferencing equipment, applications, and functionality
  • Understand control system products and applications (Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.)
  • Demonstrate experience completing maintenance and service of audiovisual systems, including:
  • Equipment rack fabrications
  • Termination and calibration of audio and video equipment
  • Configuration of Crestron, Extron and AMX control systems, projectors, presentation devices, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex audio-video, switching and control systems problems, including A/V peripherals
  • Have a high level of computer competency
  • Able to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot in a stressful environment
  • Able to articulate issues to customer IT/Network teams and provide explanations to customers with varying technical levels
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Be an expert in AV cabling standards and make correct cable terminations

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of commercial installation, commissioning or service experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AV control systems and design
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Installation experience with complex AV systems projects
  • Experience in commercial construction environments (power, conduit, core drills, etc.)
  • Audio CAD/Vid CAD is a plus
  • Ability to discuss completed projects and provide positive references
  • Excellent communication and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Crestron, Extron and AMX installation/troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of Audio DSPs
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
  • CTS certification is highly preferred
  • Extron EAVA preferred
  • Dante Level 1 (Level 3 preferred)
  • Biamp TesiraForte and Tesira Server certifications preferred

Physical Demands

Work involves standing, talking, hearing, using hands to operate objects and tools, and reaching. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stand, stoop, kneel, drive, and reach. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work may occur in inclement weather and near moving mechanical parts. The employee is often exposed to wet/humid conditions, vibration, fumes, or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. Job sites require proper PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection.
