The position is a non-tenure track adjunct faculty role within Johns Hopkins University’s Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) division, in the Communication Program.

The Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) is a division of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU). Position Description

The Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) division seeks non-tenure track adjunct faculty to teach in the Digital Communication, Public and Media Relations, Corporate and Non-profit, Health Communication, and Political Communication concentrations. The instructor will teach online or on campus at our Hopkins Bloomberg Center, located at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC. Candidates who have experience teaching and engaging students from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Communication or in a relevant field, such as Journalism and Media Studies; professional and/or scholarly experience in Communication; one year of college-level teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. or terminal degree in Communication or a relevant field, such as Journalism and Media Studies; the background to teach a wide variety of courses in Communication; the ability to teach both on campus and online courses.
