What does a Creative Lead do at Hogarth? The role provides leadership, direction, and inspiration in an energetic team of Creative Content and Production experts. It is responsible for all creative operations globally, staff supervision and work production, and directs activities of creative teams to maintain Hogarth’s standards of creative excellence. The Creative Lead is an experienced presenter and digital storyteller who serves as the Agencies and Clients’ Creative expert leading strategic efforts.
The role is part of the agency’s senior management team and participates in senior-level decision making, manages cultural connectivity, leads the creative community, and is responsible for all creative output. Hogarth’s mission is to be the number 1 Creative + Production + Innovation company in the world.
What you’ll do
- Sets an inspirational creative vision and high standards for an evolving, fast-paced business
- Champions the thinker/maker culture and shortens the distance between thinking and making
- Drives process and product innovation to continually improve our creative offering
- Oversees digital and traditional creative excellence, including problem solving, creative strategy, quality of craft, innovation, and impact of the creative product
- Provides leadership and direction of the creative process; acts as final arbiter of creative excellence for design teams
- Represents Hogarth as a center of creative excellence in internal and external awards programs
- Understands market aesthetics and culture; understands data-led modular activity
- Partners effectively with all departments to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
- Master storyteller with the ability to command a room and build strong client relationships
- Ensures all materials seen by clients and partners are of the highest quality and relevant to client issues
- Attracts great people and upholds meticulous standards for all creative work
- Oversees, energizes, and inspires the creative department/studio
- Drives growth and new creative opportunities; monitors studio utilization and profitability
People and Team
- Lead with empathy and inclusivity, valuing diverse thinking
- Inspire team and internal/external partners, including client/strategy leaders and agency creatives
- Foster cross-discipline expertise, mentor both generalists and specialists, and encourage collaboration
- Identify opportunities for the team’s growth; provide ongoing performance evaluations addressing quality, client development, and profitability
- Assist with identifying new talent and connect with senior leaders globally
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in a leadership role mentoring talent in an agency environment; several years as a Creative Lead required
- Experience leading large, digital and integrated cross-channel campaigns; strong B2B marketing across digital, print, original, and adaptation work
- Proven digital storytelling ability with a clear point of view on great work
- World-class knowledge of creative production and global campaigns; strong branding, design systems, web design, video content, and social media management
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Portfolio of conceptual and executed work across TV, Digital Innovation, and Traditional campaigns, with experience leveraging AI tools to elevate creative processes
- Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on multiple projects; strong client-facing experience with major global brands
The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package. For details, please visit the WPP benefits page.
Pay Range: $100,000 - $230,000
