ProSidian Seeks a Hanford Advisory Board Operations and Library Management Coordinator [DOE0056055] for Program Support on a contract contingent basis (W2) with no overtime pay, generally located across the CONUS – Richland, Washington. The assignment supports DOE EM Hanford in a Federal, regulated, high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment requiring multidisciplinary contractor support, compliance oversight, and mission assurance.

We seek candidates with relevant Environmental Management sector experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagements for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as DOE. This position may be a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Oversight and General Support Services under Job Task Category 01 Office of the Manager, Office of the Chief of Staff, Office of Communications, & Chief Counsel for Hanford Field Office (HFO). ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

Job Overview

Provide services and support as a Hanford Advisory Board Operations and Library Management Coordinator in the Environmental Management Industry Sector, focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as the U.S. Department of Energy – Environmental Management, Hanford Field Office (DOE-EM / HFO) and DOE – Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC), Cincinnati, OH. This role is generally located in the Pacific Northwest region (Richland, WA) and across the CONUS.

Strategic oversight and support unify leadership, communications, and counsel—enhancing governance, accountability, and Hanford mission success.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Public affairs, stakeholder engagement, fact sheets, HAB coordination. Provides services and support for Program Office #01 Office of the Manager, Office of the Chief of Staff, Office of Communications, & Chief Counsel under Job Task #01.03 with support functions related to Secretarial Support Services, Management Consulting Services, Communications Support Services, and Paralegal Support Services across the Hanford Field Office (HFO).
  • HAB Facilitator and Administrative Assistant: Coordinate HAB meetings, documentation, communication, and administrative tasks to ensure compliance with environmental laws and effective stakeholder engagement. Maintain a local office and library as a resource for HAB members and the public. Manage local office and library responsibilities, including operating hours and access.
  • Maintain Local Office and Library: operate Richland, WA office (phone, computer access, limited space) and HAB Library per Federal Advisory Committee Act guidelines, subject to DOE inspection. Number of FTEs for the engagement: approximately 2 FTEs.
  • Work site located in the Pacific Northwest region near Richland, WA. Initial work site address: 2440 Stevens Center Place, H520 Richland, WA 99354.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications for Hanford Advisory Board Operations and Library Management Coordinator:

  • 5–8+ years in communications/public affairs; DOE experience is helpful.
  • Education: BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Skills: Writing, facilitation, media, event planning; ability to assist program and project management support in daily business activities; alignment with Program Support activities and Oversight and General Support Services under the specified Job Task Category.
  • Competencies: Clarity, diplomacy, listening.
  • Ancillary: Develop stakeholder briefings tied to milestones; Board ops & records coordination; travel as coordinated and approved; security requirements with appropriate clearances when required.

  • Place of performance: Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, Richland, WA.
  • Security clearance requirements may apply depending on engagement; Government-furnished resources include office space, computers, and required software.
