Overview

Be the driving force on social media for The Bronze Chapter (TBC), a non-profit organization that is growing a more skilled, safe, and environmentally engaged Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) outdoor community committed to environmental caretaking for future generations.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation and Curation: Develop engaging content (text, images, videos) tailored to different platforms.
  • Social Media Management: Schedule posts, monitor channels, and respond to comments and messages.
  • Community Building: Foster engagement and interaction with the online audience.
  • Newsletter Preparation: Assist in assembling TBC’s monthly newsletter.
  • Performance Analysis: Track key metrics, analyze data, and generate reports on campaign performance.
  • Collaboration: Work with TBC team to align social media efforts with overall organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for creating engaging content and interacting with audiences.
  • Understand Organizational Mission: We are connecting BIPOC communities with nature in the state of Washington.
  • Social Media Proficiency: Familiarity with various social media platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and their unique features.
  • Familiarity with Hootsuite: Online tool to schedule, post, and analyze social media.
  • Content Creation Skills: Ability to create compelling content, including text, images, and videos. Familiarity with Canva as a creation tool is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to track, analyze, and interpret social media data to assess performance.

Hours and Compensation

Hours and compensation: Contract, part-time, 11 hours per week at $30/hour. This is a grant-based position through July, 2026, with possibility of extension.
