Our team focuses on creating authentic and meaningful learning experiences with rigorous content and a joyful classroom culture. We seek to add another teacher to the Learning Links Team for the upcoming school year.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- One-to-One check-ins with students, classroom coverage as needed, and participation in extracurricular activities (e.g., Marching Band) and athletics events.
- Craft, internalize, and implement high-quality, engaging lesson plans teaching Music, Marching Band, and/or Orchestra; assess student progress and organize concerts and events.
- Track student growth in reading music over time; provide reteaching and follow-up lessons; organize performances.
Care of Students & Classroom Culture
- Build a classroom culture that empowers students, affirms identities, and creates belonging for all students.
- Implement school-wide and classroom management policies; create a responsive environment for families.
- Maintain lesson focus on music development; manage grade book and communications with parents.
- Establish trusted relationships with students and families.
Team Support
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and team meetings.
- Participate in daily school operations and supervision duties.
- Incorporate feedback for continuous improvement; meet professional obligations with timeliness and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Current Ohio Teaching License or willingness to pursue certification by start date (Required)
- 1+ years of lead teaching experience, or degree in the taught content area (Required)
- Belief in strong school leadership and collaborative professional learning communities
- Strong problem solving, communication, and adaptability; entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment while driving toward solutions

Additional Information
Compensation and Benefits: Starting salary around $50,000 for a teacher with 1 year of experience; comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary options; life and disability coverage; retirement plan participation. Paid maternity and spousal/adoption leave are included.
