Responsibilities

  • Media/Influencer Relations
  • Strong relationships with more than ten key media across business and tech industry
  • Identify new media opportunities for clients and share with teams and across the agency
  • Regular proactive pitches that generate coverage for the whole team
  • Coach junior staff to improve team relationships
  • Use social media channels to engage and support efforts
  • Measure the ROI of communications activities
  • Engage with social media influencers, content campaigns, and media coverage amplification
  • Client Service/Management
  • Manage projects from concept through execution
  • Track competitors and flag opportunities and news events
  • Own and direct client PR calls
  • Provide counsel on media opportunities and coverage under challenging circumstances
  • Develop quarterly campaigns and PR plans including creative campaigns, trendscapes and thought leadership topics
  • Own key elements of the PR program (analysts, speaking, content, etc.)
  • Be a reliable resource for client contact
  • Develop budget and team priority allocations
  • Participate in media training sessions with clients
  • Writing Proficiencies
    Ability to generate a campaign or PR program plan
  • Generate and edit award submissions, press releases, fact sheets, bios, and related materials; oversee their production
  • Professional, articulate and timely client communication
  • Develop consistent, creative pitches
  • Agency Operations
  • Participate in new business processes including research and pitches
  • Identify and attend networking events
  • Maintain a respectful, enthusiastic, professional attitude; lead by example
  • Support teams and manage up and down
  • Use of flexible work policies
  • Use Highwire social channels; write for Highwire blog
  • Mentor junior staff to elevate development
  • Self Development: set quarterly goals with manager; track progress and demonstrate growth
  • Prioritize responsibilities based on impact, timelines, and client goals
  • Drive projects forward independently
  • Identify areas for self-improvement and bring suggestions to management
  • Meet deadlines or provide advance notice if unable to

Qualifications

As a Senior Account Executive, Cybersecurity, you’ve worked at an agency or startup with 3–5 years of experience and contributed to engaging creative campaigns. You likely have go-to bloggers and journos, stay current with trends, are an exceptional writer, and demonstrate motivational leadership. You are eager to assume more responsibility and grow with a strong team at Highwire.
