FYI Brand Group is looking for a dynamic and driven Entertainment Talent Publicist/Account Executive to join our expanding LA Team. This position requires 3-5 years of hands-on public relations field experience working within our talent division in entertainment, music, sports, fashion and social impact. The role includes assisting in pitching various genres of media across broadcast, print, digital, podcasts, and more. You will be expected to have an understanding of media relationships and willingness to build existing/new relationships, craft impactful storytelling around our celebrity clients’ brands, work with talent bookers, and oversee and execute strategies for an array of clients. We are looking for a team player and self-starter to work closely with the company’s staff: Account Coordinators, Account Executives, VP, CEO, and agency partners. The ideal candidate has experience with project and time management in a boutique agency environment, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and working within tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate is a hard-working, business-minded go-getter, who can thrive in a fast-paced work environment with the skill set to adapt and manage multiple accounts. You must be detail-oriented, a strong writer, a clear communicator both internally and externally, and constantly consume news on the latest trends, pop culture happenings, and celebrities. Candidates must also have experience with Canva, Muck Rack, Cision & Rocket Reach. Bilingual Spanish-speaking capabilities are a plus. Salary commensurate upon experience.

PR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE || TALENT, ENTERTAINMENT & SOCIAL IMPACT DIVISION

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Day to day direct supervision for talent division celebrity clients
  • Working alongside the CEO & VP on topline short and long-term strategy
  • Engaging with the media and pitching, on a daily basis, to secure covers, features, and editorial placements for clients spanning music releases, timely launches, and evergreen press
  • Delegating to junior staff and semester interns
  • Securing new business leads & drafting new business proposals to be reviewed by senior staff
  • Monitoring press coverage on celebrity clients (as well as their personal social media and popular pop culture accounts i.e. TMZ, Vogue, People, etc.)
  • Overseeing the creation of event and weekly/monthly reports, as well as researching and maintaining editorial calendars and media lists for the agency
  • Providing real-time client updates to full team & on staff calls
  • Development of client press materials, including press releases, media alerts, style IDs, ICYMI, post events, brand decks, and more
  • Program social impact activations, foundations, short and long-term programs
  • Work in rapid response to communicate timely updates to the team, the client, and external partners to advance
  • Design and develop innovative philanthropic programs that reflect the client's passions and interests
  • Collaborate with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and other stakeholders to foster partnerships and ensure project alignment
  • Work with external marketing and PR teams to promote initiatives and maximize visibility and engagement

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Min. 3 years of experience managing and supporting accounts in a PR agency
  • Min. 3 years of experience in entertainment (specifically in music and sports, dealing directly with celebrity accounts - philanthropy/social impact a plus)
  • Experience working with high-profile talent & their teams and high-level media in broadcast, print, and digital media, print/digital magazine covers, and TV/award show talent bookers
  • 1-3 years experience with Canva, Muck Rack, Cision, Rocket Reach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven relationships across broadcast, music, fashion, sports, business, humanitarian, and pop culture media
  • Self-starter, adaptable, multitasker with the ability to delegate duties to a team
  • Portfolio of top press placements readily available
  • Selection of writing samples readily available
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus
