Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Visual Arts department on the Gainesville campus. The Sculpture Studio Assistant will assist faculty with shop and studio tasks such as cleaning, painting and studio maintenance. The Sculpture Studio Assistant will also monitor the sculpture studio outside of classroom hours while assisting other students.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain sculpture studio.
• Assist Faculty with studio maintenance and repairs.
• Paint and maintain the sculpture gallery space.
• Monitor the sculpture classroom.
• Assist art students with class projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic knowledge of a studio environment.
• Basic knowledge of various sculpture practices.
• Comfortable to stand and move around for each shift.
• Comfortable working with power tools.
• Excited to learn about new tools and sculpture equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
