Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Visual Arts department on the Oconee campus. This position supports the art gallery and visual art program on the Oconee Campus. The Visual Art Assistant will help with studio maintenance in the not-for-profit community center, Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation.
Responsibilities
- On the Oconee Campus, the student will hang gallery exhibits and promote events. Off-campus, at the School Street Studio in downtown Watkinsville, the Visual Art Assistant will frame student artworks, assist students with digital media and photography, and organize supplies and art materials.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Light lifting of art materials and frames
- Organizational Skills
- Communication Skills
- Ability to stick to a deadline and coordinate with multiple faculty and staff
- Visual Art, or Humanities Interests
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
