Base pay range
$55,000.00/yr - $103,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Adhering to SLAs
- ITIL processes awareness and adhering to the same ones
- Perform root cause analysis
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to
- Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of installation, configuration and migration
- Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
- Understanding of multi-geo support environment
- Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
- Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario
- Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
- Suggests new technologies and design changes
- Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
- Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support
- Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level
- Testing / auditing / processes as required from time to time
- Identify skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
- Assist / plan / procedure in data centre consolidation efforts
- Perform hardware & performance tuning and maintenance
- Day-to-day reporting tasks
Qualifications
Technical Requirements:
- Installing, configuring and maintaining HP servers
- Installation and configuration of High Availability environment using MC / Service Guard. running Solaris operating system
- Installation and configuration of HP Integrity Virtual Machines. Managing & Troubleshooting
- Configuration and administration of HP Logical volume manager
- Configuring and supporting HP Superdome Servers
- Installation and Configuration of ignite backup. Create and Verify Golden images
- Installation and configuration of HP -ignite environment and able to create and verify Golden image
- Patch and Package administration
- Printer Administration
- Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task
- Configuring and supporting Domains
- Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
- Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance
- Understanding of SAN and NAS storage
- Administration of NIS or LDAP environment
- Configuring Unix Security baseline
- Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
- Performance Management & fine tuning
- Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning
- Working knowledge on any one flavor of Linux Operating System
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
- Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio)
- Should have great customer handling skill
- Able to handle unforeseen situations
- High level of acceptance
- Can drive HCL’s value and its methodology
Preferred Skills
- Worked on Production systems
- Experience with Server Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching
- Experience on following will be added advantage

Years of Experience
- Total: 9+ Years
- Relevant: Minimum 5 yrs in Administration / Support
Desired Certifications
- HP Certified System Administrator.

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year
