Position Summary: The Learning Experience Designer develops and curates high-impact learning experiences that strengthen leadership development, onboarding, professional skills, and operational excellence across the organization. This role emphasizes the design of digital and e-learning content, partnering with internal subject matter experts and sourcing external resources to meet diverse learning needs. Combining deep expertise in instructional design with a focus on innovation, the Learning Experience Designer delivers learner-centric, business-aligned, and scalable solutions that advance Wellby’s organizational goals.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

Instructional Design and Digital Content Development

  • Design and develop high-quality digital learning experiences, including e-learning modules, video-based learning, virtual instructor-led courses (vILT), and blended learning programs.
  • Utilize e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Rise/Storyline), graphic/video editing tools (Canva, Vyond), and LMS platforms to create engaging content.
  • Develop complementary resources, such as facilitator guides, participant materials, workbooks, and job aids, to support in-person and virtual learning delivery.

Learning Systems Administration and Implementation

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Wellby’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate course setup, user management, reporting, and SCORM compliance.
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of Workday Learning, partnering with IT, HR, and business stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition and integration of digital learning programs.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance learner experience and program scalability.

SME Collaboration and Content Sourcing

  • Partner with internal SMEs across departments to assess learning needs, capture critical knowledge, and translate expertise into effective, learner-friendly content.
  • Conduct content discovery sessions, interviews, and process reviews to ensure accuracy and relevance of learning materials.

Content Curation and Vendor Management

  • Research, evaluate, and curate vendor-provided learning resources, customizing and integrating them into Wellby-specific programs to ensure alignment with organizational standards, branding, and learning objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external content providers to ensure access to up-to-date, high-quality learning solutions.

Program Alignment and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all learning content supports Wellby’s leadership and professional capability frameworks, member service standards, regulatory requirements, and cultural values.
  • Pilot, test, and refine learning solutions based on learner feedback, usability testing, and evaluation data.
  • Maintain accessibility, inclusivity, and SCORM compliance standards in all learning experiences.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the broader L&D team to integrate learning solutions seamlessly into Wellby’s learning programs.
  • Continuously explore new learning technologies, tools, and trends to innovate and improve Wellby’s digital learning ecosystem.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSA)

  • Knowledge of Wellby’s organizational functions, general operating policies and procedures and credit union best practices.
  • Knowledge of credit union products, services, and regulatory requirements that impact event planning and member engagement.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, business English, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of retail product philosophy, banking industry best practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Rise/Storyline), visual design software (Canva, Vyond), and LMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) and learning principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with ability to prepare and conduct presentations, training seminars, and workshops.
  • Interpersonal skills for exchanging information across diverse audiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work outside of business hours, occasional evenings or weekends, to attend events or meetings.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The team member does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Complexity & Scope of Work

  • Performs routine tasks without supervisory direction; may coordinate, integrate, or prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Work is reviewed periodically for accuracy, completion, and compliance with Wellby’s policies.
  • Uses independent judgment; courses of action are determined by established procedures and the Learning & Development Manager.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Office environment with typical risks and discomforts; reasonable accommodations available.
  • Typically stationary for portions of the day; occasional travel or onsite/offsite meetings may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum three to five years of experience in instructional design, digital/e-learning, and SME collaboration.
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, user management, and reporting.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering digital learning, e-learning, and blended learning solutions.
  • SHRM Certification is a plus; Bondable preferred.
