Floor & Decor is hiring: Lead Design Specialist in Hendersonville

Join our dynamic team at Floor & Decor as a Lead Design Specialist! This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your design skills while helping customers bring their visions to life.

The Lead Design Specialist will lead our design team and provide a comprehensive consultative design service. You will be responsible for meeting with customers, understanding their project requirements, educating them on necessary aspects, and creating innovative design concepts that reflect their personal style and budget.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Interior Design (BA or AA) or equivalent 6 years of experience in interior design.
• Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in basic mathematics and computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, self-motivated environment.
• Internal candidates must have at least 24 months of experience in a Floor & Decor Designer role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional clients.
• Provide design advice and solutions for tile, wood, stone, and accessories.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timeliness, maintaining clear communication.
• Collaborate with team members and store leadership to achieve sales goals.
• Stay updated on current design trends and engage with professional affiliations.
• Utilize design applications effectively, including Salesforce and MyProject.
• Support and coach store employees in best practices and company initiatives.

Working Conditions:

• Potential for limited travel by car.
• Work in a warehouse environment with potential exposure to moderate to noisy conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to exert force to lift or move objects weighing between 20-50 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent use of hands for various tasks.
• Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be necessary.

Store Hours:

• Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
