Mechanical Designer

Selectek has an immediate need to hire a Mechanical Designer for a full-time position in the Alpharetta, Georgia area.

Job Details:

Coordinate with the Engineering Manager on job requirements, activities, and schedules with the assignment of each job

Work closely with the project managers and other engineering departments, using Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 2D and 3D files and rough sketches to create details and layout drawings per instructions and concepts

Create multi-view detailed drawings, models, and assemblies for equipment general arrangements, field erection drawings, and shop fabrication drawings using mechanical expertise, calculations, previous project files, or other direction from Product leaders

Work closely with project managers and the engineering team to execute the client's needs and expectations, in a timely manner and on budget

Effectively communicate relevant project information to team leaders in other engineering disciplines, i.e., structural, electrical and process

Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

Requirements for Qualification:

5 plus years of working experience in the mechanical design field using Inventor to produce industrial equipment designs.

Autodesk Inventor Proficiency

Compensation: $28-$34 per hour before conversion, depending on certification and experience
