About the Role
Were looking for a strategic, data-driven Associate Director, Paid Media to lead the development, execution, and optimization of multi-channel paid media campaigns. This role will oversee a team of media planners and buyers, manage client relationships (or internal stakeholders), and drive performance across channels including paid social, paid search, programmatic, and display.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of full-funnel paid media campaigns across platforms (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, programmatic, etc.)
- Translate business objectives into media strategies that drive measurable results (traffic, conversions, ROAS, etc.)
- Manage and mentor a team of media managers, ensuring excellence in campaign execution and performance reporting
- Own media budgets and oversee ongoing optimizations to maximize return on investment
- Partner closely with analytics, creative, and content teams to align messaging, targeting, and campaign execution
- Evaluate media performance through tools like Google Analytics, platform dashboards, and reporting software; make data-informed recommendations
- Stay current on platform changes, privacy regulations, and emerging trends to keep the team ahead of the curve
- Present campaign strategies and performance results to clients or senior leadership
Qualifications
- 68+ years of experience in paid media, with a strong focus on performance marketing and digital channels
- Proven track record managing multi-channel campaigns and large budgets
- Experience managing and mentoring teams
- Strong knowledge of ad platforms including Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn, TikTok, DV360, etc.
- Deep analytical skills; comfort with data and reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Google Analytics, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills written, verbal, and presentation
- Agency experience preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with attribution modeling, marketing mix modeling, or incrementality testing
- Familiarity with MarTech platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Segment
- Google or Meta certifications
