Overview
Senior RFP Institutional Writer - Investment Management in Boston, MA. Lead the creation and delivery of comprehensive RFPs, RFIs, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and client updates to support the firm’s international institutional business. Work with global sales, investment, marketing, and compliance professionals to position the firm’s capabilities to prospective and existing institutional clients across multiple regions. Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs experience within investment management. Responsibilities
Lead the creation of institutional proposals: Write, edit, and deliver tailored responses to RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs that effectively position the firm’s investment capabilities, operational infrastructure, and client service model.
Develop and refine proposal language: Draft new content for complex topics and enhance existing responses to ensure messaging is clear, persuasive, and aligned with brand standards.
Collaborate across the organization: Partner with investment teams, client service, compliance, operations, and marketing to source accurate information, develop consistent messaging, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Maintain consultant deliverables: Prepare and update quarterly materials for institutional consultants, ensuring accuracy and consistency across channels.
Manage RFP database: Oversee content updates within the RFP system, monitor accuracy, and ensure that new or revised content is captured and maintained for global use.
Support data requests: Provide timely, accurate data and information to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high service standards.
Enhance processes: Contribute to streamlining and improving processes for gathering, distributing, and maintaining RFP content and institutional data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Business, English, Communications, or related discipline); advanced degree or CFA designation is a plus.
6+ years of experience in investment management, institutional marketing, or proposal writing, with a proven track record in RFP/DDQ creation.
Strong understanding of institutional asset management and financial markets, including investment strategies, products, and operational structures.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, concise, client-focused language.
Hands-on experience with RFP software such as Responsive, RocketDocs, Qvidian, or RFP360.
Superior project management skills: ability to coordinate multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact confidently with subject matter experts and senior leaders.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control.
Employment details
Permanent position with compensation ranging between $85,000 and $115,000 (depending on experience).
Onsite requirement: 3 days per week in Boston office.
