Part-Time Video Production Assistant
The employee will assist with the running of the City of Bellevue Council meetings which includes, but is not limited to, running the character generator, cameras, audio, or Directing.
Other work may include special events in Council Chambers, or field production for the City such as wraps, interviews, shooting b-roll, or editing depending on availability.
Pay rate: $16.66/hour - $21.98/hour. The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Typically new hire rate for this role is $16.66/hour based on Bellevue College hourly salary schedule.
This position is expected to not be eligible for benefits.

Our Digital Media Services team provides video production services, offers the Advanced Video Production Program in Digital Media Arts, and manages the Bellevue College educational cable channel, the College Channel. The Media Maintenance department provides audio/visual design and support for the campus. Through a partnership with the City of Bellevue, Digital Media Services also provides video production services to the City as well as maintaining BCTV, the City of Bellevue government cable channel.
Essential functions include running character generator, remote cameras, audio, or Directing at City Hall Press Room. Additional work could include the setting up of lighting for interviews, shooting interviews and b-roll, as well as editing.
Minimum qualifications include high school graduation or equivalent in a relevant field. Any combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. AND minimum of two quarters enrolled as a student in the Digital Media Services Advanced Video Certificate Program, or in the Advanced Video internships through the Bellevue College EXPRL series of internships.
Preferred qualifications include four or more quarters enrolled as a student in the Digital Media Services Advanced Video Certificate Program, or in the Advanced Video internships through the Bellevue College EXPRL series of internships.
