What is the opportunity?
Production designer responsible for producing new product based on creative direction. Conducts schematic design reviews with the in?house design team and revises as requested. Creates option lists, designs, and design handoff packages. Must be competent in all aspects of wood construction and documentation and be able to program, layout, and present marketable residential products. Essential skills include adaptability, flexibility, creativity, spatial vision, graphic dexterity, and cross?functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design new architectural products
- Accountable for quality of assigned projects, meeting timelines and budgets, and inputting product value engineering (VE) efforts
- Produce architectural plans using AutoCAD and manual drawing techniques for management and client approval
- Conduct schematic design reviews with the in?house design team and revise designs as requested
- Collaborate with internal design team and stakeholders; manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Develop design handoff packages, option lists, and note any required rules/restrictions
- Request and secure all appropriate approvals
- Create design standards and procedures, budgets, and timelines in line with market needs

- Essential:
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture
- 4+ years of progressive residential design experience
- Strong creative design and time management skills
- Excellent technical skills, particularly with AutoCAD
- Experience with Photoshop and SketchUp
- Ability to travel as needed (not mandatory)
- Preferred: Architectural artistic or related creative background
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is $62,000$80,000 plus an annual discretionary bonus. We offer an excellent benefits package including comprehensive medical/dental, 401(k) with company match, discounted stock purchase, mortgages and home-related discounts.
