Overview

Retail Cosmetics Sales Beauty Advisor, Fashion Valley - Flex. Base pay range: $17.25/hr - $23.10/hr. This position is a flexible Beauty Advisor role within Macy's cosmetics team, focused on delivering personalized beauty experiences and driving sales.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted beauty expert for customers, offering expert advice, product demonstrations, and tailored consultations (makeup application and skincare recommendations).
• Build lasting client relationships through proactive follow-up, virtual outreach, and personalized service to grow and manage a loyal client base.
• Create a welcoming shopping experience by staying informed on new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions; educate customers on beauty products and innovations that match their needs and style.
• Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service and leveraging clienteling tools to promote offers and product launches.
• Maintain an organized, shoppable space; support merchandise moves and ensure signage and pricing are up to date.
• Use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with dependable attendance and punctuality.
• At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience required.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors; read and understand employment policies and safety rules in English.
• Ability to acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Talking, lifting, constant movement, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Stand for extended periods, lift at least 25 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, reach above eye level.
• Requires color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment; frequent use of computers and handheld equipment to process transactions.
